TEEN COUNSELING

Teenage Boy on Mobile Phone

Therapy can offer a space for teens that may be struggling with peers, school, family, relationships, depression, anxiety, and/or identity issues, to name a few things. This period of time can be difficult and teens often face a number of challenges and transitions, and it can feel like a lot. Therapy can offer a space to vent and process what’s going on in their life, and find ways where they can feel more confident in their abilities, develop new perspectives about themselves and the world around them, and learn new ways to navigate the stressors in their life.

If you’re a teen and happen to be reading this, things may or may not be going too well at the moment. Most people, including adults, are sometimes not too thrilled to see a therapist. Oftentimes there are concerns about there being something “wrong” with them, if it will even be helpful, or worry about what people might think if they find out you’re going to therapy. It can be extra hard for younger people because of the concern that your parents/caregivers might find out what you’re talking about.
