INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Counseling gives individuals a space to explore their emotions, beliefs, and behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, better understand themselves and others, identify parts of their life they would like to change, set personal goals, and work towards desired change. Individual counseling can assist people in feeling more confident, curious, compassionate, creative, connected, courageous, calm, and experience a sense of clarity.
TEEN COUNSELING
This stage of life is full of changes, stress, and challenges. It can be overwhelming at times and it can be a struggle to open up to others, typically with caregivers/parents, which creates only more tension and stress. Counseling for teens can provide a space them (and their parents/caregivers) to help navigate theses emotional and relationship struggles. It can also be an outlet for teens to process these changes and other stressors they face, and develop strategies to solve problems. Therapy can be beneficial in that it can lead to improvements at home, school, socially, and relationally with friends and family.
PLAY THERAPY
Play therapy is used to help children (and sometimes adolescents and adults) to work through emotional and behavioral concerns, and help with expression of their thoughts, feelings, and struggles in a safe and nonjudgmental environment through the use play and toys. The goal is to help gaining understanding of their internal processes and work to verbalize their emotional experiences that they may be struggling with.
